Nigel Clack spent 50 odd years in the mast manufacturing industry before retiring as chairman of Southern Spars. He has sailed competitively for most of his life with many wins, both local and internationally.
He “retired” to devote time to his other great love - fruit farming in the little hamlet of Tulbagh in the Western Cape.
Whilst sailing in the northern hemisphere summer regattas, Lord Laidlaw approached Nigel to assist with Contractual Sales of the newly-launched Cape31 class in his absence.
Nigel brings a wealth of experience and understanding of sales and administration to the Cape 31 project.
